Once you have the theme up and running it might very well be that we update the theme and theme plugins. To simplify the install process of a new theme release we advice the Envato Updater plugin. It is available in your admin area or you can download it directly from Github. Show me how to Download the Envato plugin. or here Show me how to Download the Envato plugin.

Note : If you have closed the admin message that prompts you to install The Envato Market Plugin or you dont see it in your admin area you need to download the plugin and use the wordpress plugin installer way by manually uploading a plugin or use ftp upload and upload it directly into your wordpress/wp-content/plugins folder.

Install the Envato Updater plugin. Goto the Admin Area Dashboard and click the link “Install the Envato Market Plugin” .

Actvate the plugin

You will be redirected to the plugins in the admin area after activating the plugin. Go back to the Admin dashboard page.

Then Scroll Down and go to the Envato Market section

Click the “generate a personal token”.

You will probably have to login into the Envato Market place. Please do so first.

Give your token a name and agree to the terms and hit the create Token button

Copy the Token provided and store it in a safe place and Hit the WooHoo Got It button.

Go back to your website and enter the Token into the settings. Note: Save the token also somewhere else !!!

Now when the theme has a update you can see it in the Envato Market and click the Update Available link

Or you can update the Theme Directly in the WordPress –> Appearance –> Themes admin area. Click the update now link.

After updating the theme you will probably get a admin notification that you need to update the theme plugins. This only occurs when the themes comes with bundled plugins and when those plugins have been updated. Click the “Begin updating plugins” link.

Select all plugins, set the bulk action to “update” and click apply.

When all done correctly you will see a update plugins complete notification message
